Shopping for Farm Houses

November 19th, 2011 | Comment

Almost every day, my husband and I like to cruise the internet and look for our next dream home. We know that it only torture’s us because we can’t put our house on the market right now (thank you homebuyers tax credit). However, come May of 2012, we can really start thinking through our options! Until then, this blog is going to pay our way by providing us a down payment for our dream house. The following is one our dream houses that we’re keeping an eye on.

The pictures aren’t that great for this beauty. We couldn’t tell if it was an actual house or a mobile home. We decided that it’s a mobile home, but one of those very super nice ones that look like houses but they are super expensive. This one wasn’t so expensive though. I believe the price tag was $85,000.00. With the down payment that we would like to put on the house, it’ll be affordable for us.

Speaking of down payment, check out the sidebar on the bottom right. You can keep up to date with how this blog is profiting and paying the way to our dream home!

One of my requirements was a spacious kitchen with countertops AND cupboards. We picked our current house thinking it has more countertops, which in a way the extra bar-counter does provide more counter space. After we moved in I realized we lost a whole set of cabinets. We use a linen closet that’s right next to the kitchen as our “pantry.” However, the kitchen in this house proves to have lots of cabinets and counter space!

Check out those wood floors. It had us drooling. The next picture is a bit odd. Who would want a rusty tin wall? Maybe a desk can go on that wall and you have a place to stick all kinds of papers by using magnets. None the less, I don’t understand the tin rusty wall and it may be redone into a regular wall (if we were to ever get this home. Remember, we’re dreaming until this blog pays our way!)

Jeremiah and I have talked about having our own garden, and what’s best about this place is that it has its own green house!

So what does your dream house have? Do you live in your dream house currently? Do you have any pictures to share? We want to see!
