Return Address Back Flap. What did you say? Oh, you mean you’re trying to figure out if you can address the back of an envelope flap!
Well, Hi guys! I’m popping in today to answer a frequent question that I receive:
Will this stamp fit on the back of an envelope flap?
Or, can I use this stamp for a return address on the back flap of an envelope with USPS?
Our Answer: Certainly! However, the stamp size depends on the size of your envelope. I always recommend to get a ruler to measure. A ruler can confirm the space your working with for your special project.
I measured the area of an A7 envelope (5×7 inches), and the picture above is a close estimate of what a 2.5×1 inch stamp will look like when used on the flap of an envelope. The picture above is my best effort at putting together two graphic elements of an envelope and a stamp design (update: this post is outdated but if you want to see a real envelope and stamp in action, contact us!). Like we said, to truly get an idea of the project you’re working with, you really do need to measure your envelope space before you make your decision.
